Wound Healing in Rats Intraperitoneally Treated with Sea Cucumber Stichopus vastus (Glycosaminoglycans)

Marine creature such as sea cucumbers are rich in glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). It is famous and has long been utilised traditional remedies commonly used wound healing therapy. This study designed to explore the effect of GAGs cucumber especially from integument wall Stichopus vastus for by intra-peritoneally injected rats daily.
 
 Complete randomised design was this where a total twenty male Sprague-dawley were divided 4 groups; 3 treatment groups (2 mg/kg, mg/kg 6 mg/kg) one control group phosphate buffer saline (PBS) with sample size n=6 per group. Rats weight 250 400 grams treated daily 12 days. An excisional created using biopsy punch diameter mm.
